He ached for her.

And if there was any truth in her eyes she needed him too.

Dreams and wonderings couldn't come close to the reality of the moment. A row of hooks beneath his hands parted like curtains on the new day, revealing the pale beauty of morning beyond. The scars of her childhood had long faded and the color of his hands against her skin drew every bit of his attention.

He couldn't see her face but he knew without looking… without asking… that her eyes were closed. The soft shallow breaths the moved her ribs beneath her skin told him volumes. Told him that at least the need went all through her body, affected her deep within.

The corset fell heavy against the table bones and all and he slid his hand over her hip releasing the hook that held her skirt. It fell to the floor as she turned to him, She didn't cover herself from his gaze, her eyes followed his down… down from her face to the bones beneath her collar… down to the rise of her breast.

She knew how much he wanted… needed to touch her. And still she knew how little he would do, worrying over what it meant… worried that he would change things too much… too much for them to live past.

She knew he wouldn't move forward. Knew he couldn't… unless she did.

Reaching out her hand she took his. Took his hand and slid her finger tips against his palm, slid up to meet his hand flush against hers. Flush, just as they would be… soon.

She drew him closer, fingertips all that touched between them. Drew him closer. Every inch a new battle, a new wall going down. Drew him closer until she could take that palm. Hold it in her hand, rub her thumb over the scars and calluses and press it with a gasp against her skin.

The surprise was on his face, the slight widening of his eyes as his palm flexed against her, sending shivers through her body.

It was impossible to know if either one of them made a noise at that moment. All manner of words were echoing in his head, the thundering beat of his heart echoing in his ears. His free hand slipped around her body settling on the curve of her lower back he held her upright as his thumb slid over her skin eliciting chills and bumps in its wake.

He felt each movement as it rippled through her body, spreading warmth… and pleasure… and giving it back tenfold within him. He felt her pleasure, reveled in it and somehow between the caress of his mouth on her skin and the silken touch of her hands he felt her lead him into the unlit interior of his room. When he paused she moved him… when she paused he slid his hands up into her hair, loosening the mass and moving it between his fingers as if he'd never seen the like before.

He brought it up to his face and set it upon his cheek as he inhaled the scent, memorized the weight in his hands. His eyes opened when he felt her hands dip down from his shoulders and into the waist of his pants. His mouth fell upon hers as his arms surrounded her, suddenly o'ertaken with a hunger that needed her… needed to make her warm to his touch and come apart in his arms.

They stilled by the bed and she took his face gently between her hands and found that there were no words for the moment that could do any better to convey her feelings than action. Raising up slightly on her feet, she watched him, kept her eyes fixed on his as she leaned in closer… closer, knowing that when their lips met it would be with her eyes open…

Fingers made quick work of the remaining barriers between them and the backs of his legs met the mattress first. She half fell on top of him, their searching hands and wandering mouths looking for every inch of unexplored flesh… every moment taken for the gift that it was.

The friction was exquisite, skin against skin she rose up over his body and found the answer to her own needy heat and descended until her bottom met the tops of his thighs. They had neither one taken control over the other. Choosing instead to lead and follow in their own turn, but there came a moment when she looked down into his eyes, focused on her, feasting on the sight she made rising up above him like the earth mother herself.

Her hair fell about her shoulders in waves and as she leaned closer to him he grasped a lock of it in his fingers and twisted it about, the curl swallowing his searching finger as the woman conquered his body with her gentle gaze.

A subtle shift of his hips brought a shiver through her body that fed back to him through his skin and her lips parted as a rush of breath escaped her lungs into the midday air. He rocked once… twice…and then began again, her body slipping easily into the rhythm as one joined the other in an age old dance that drew them both into its seductive arms.

They rode the waves of passion… rising above the crests as they moved together. They spoke with only the touch of skin and their desperate gasps for breath forming clouds in the air his hands gently worked her flesh and drove them both toward their own releases. Sensations drove blood through their veins and pushed them up and over the threshold into a blinding moment of pleasure.

Buck opened his eyes when feeling returned to his body and his hands slid down the creamy lengths of her thighs and followed her calves until her feet disappeared beneath him. A single rivulet of moisture slid down from her neck and traveled around the gentle curve of her breast. He wiped it away with his thumb when it met the nip of her waist.

Spent, she leaned down and stretched out at his side, her body curving up against his sharing his warmth as he drew a couple of quilts over their bodies in the quiet. She pillowed her head on his shoulder and felt the searching trail his fingers drew over her skin.

There was nothing they could do before falling into a deep sleep, sated and complete.

Author's note: The song on the self titled CD - eastmountainsouth is the only song with no lyrics, so I wanted to write a song with no dialog, just narrative. I hope everyone likes it
